My family and I have owned businesses in Northeast Oklahoma since 1987. My wife is
a native of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and I am orginally from Indiana by way of Dallas, TX. I made NE Oklahoma
my home since 1986 and in July of 2011 we moved to Durango, Colorado.
I bought Bartlesville Window Cleaning
Company from a friend, Eric Fasking, in 1989. From 1989 to the fall of 1996 I grew the company to over 500 residential
customers and 250 commercial business customers.
I sold the company in December of 1996 back to Eric
so that I could help my wife, Anita, open her first fitness center, Curves for Women, in Bartlesville.
Anita then wanted to open her own chain of centers using her own methods of operating so she sold that club and
started It Figures.
It Figures was a huge success with over 850 clubs utilizing Anita's techniques and
tradename in 22 countries. I supervised the shipping and receiving of our hydraulic circuit training equipment.
But most importantly, since Anita traveled a lot to club openings, I became the main caretaker of our two sons,
Kane and Logan. I did the shopping, the cooking, the laundry and made sure things were running smoothly both at home and at
the business while Anita was away on trips.
Seven years later and with only one son left at home, I began to miss operating a
service business. It was a simple business and I loved the customer interaction. Many of my window cleaning customers
became my friends and we stayed in touch throughout the years. When I had time off from the fitness business
I helped many of my previous customers with various cleaning, organizing or handyman chores.
When we downsized the fitness business in 2004, I decided to start Mitch Miller Professional Window
Cleaning. I am enjoying every minute of it and Anita now has time to pursue other interests.
